Throwing a grand opening party but want to keep it simple? You can start by using a plain wide ribbon in a solid color. We have it available in 4 or 6 inch width and it is sold in rolls of 25 or 50 yards depending on your needs. Our colors are bold and vibrant, which should make for a very eye-catching look on stage. Plain ceremonial ribbon can actually look more elegant than one with printed text. Sometimes, text may not be aesthetically pleasing on wide ribbon, especially if the message is generic, too long or the design is too busy. Text looks great when you are having your business logo printed or using a simple font, however, not every grand opening calls for printed ribbon.
The symbolic ribbon cutting is sufficient enough to show the intent of the ceremony. Grand openings are the most popular events that use ribbon cuttings, but if you are already announcing a grand opening and your guests know why they are there, you may feel that reiterating it on the ribbon is overkill. Plain wide ribbon alone is just as effective, especially if you already have other decorations stamped with grand opening text.
